Yes, for your visits.

You may feel a quick twitch or a deep ache in the muscle. Most people find it short and bearable. The spot can be sore for a day or two.

Soreness and small bruises are common, and some people feel faint. Rarely, a needle near the chest or upper back can cause a collapsed lung, so Dr. Pan takes special care there. An injection can rarely cause an infection or a reaction to the numbing medicine. Tell us if you take a blood thinner, have allergies, or are pregnant.

Most people do not, at least at first. Dr. Pan will order one if your symptoms call for it.

Do not stop or change any medicine on your own. Bring them all, and Dr. Pan will go over them with you. Some pain pills do not mix well with blood thinners.

In IBS, and in indigestion with normal tests, the gut is not damaged. But it moves out of rhythm, and it is more sensitive than usual. That is real, even when the tests are normal.

It depends on your age and symptoms. From age 45, most people should be screened for colon cancer anyway.

Usually yes, but slowly, over weeks or months. Some bad nights along the way are normal, and do not mean you need the pill. Nothing is stopped without your OK.
